Howdy Y'all! :)
Today I have a great guest post for you from Kerry! She blogs over at It's the Little Things. I love her writing, she always has something great to share. Kerry is a beautiful mom to three adorable kids! She is happily married and lives with her family in Australia. Be sure to give her some bloggy love!
Hello from It's the Little Things to all friends and readers of Our Little Fam!
My name is Kerry and I am honoured to be guest posting for Ashlee today.
I met Ashlee over a year ago, she was one of my first ever 'bloggy' friends and I could tell instantly that she was a kind hearted, genuine person
and a warm and loving mother to her two boys...
friend: a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard
Since starting my blog a little over a year ago, I have been blessed to have crossed paths with some really awesome women.
Since starting my blog a little over a year ago, I have been blessed to have crossed paths with some really awesome women.
In the beginning I pondered the question; can an online friendship be just as meaningful and as real?
As time went by, I stopped referring to these women as 'blog friends' and simply just referred to them as friends.
I thought about some of them daily, wished hard for their successes and missed them when I took a step back from my computer.
I realised that they were more than just commenters on my blog, they were people I had a connection with.
Before I started blogging, I never even knew this world existed.
That inside my computer, just a button click away, was a whole community of like minded women that would inspire me, enthuse me, entertain me, relate to me, like me, respond to me and follow me on my journey.
We may never get the chance to meet in 'real' life, and geographically our worlds may never collide.
But I thank each and every one of them for what they have brought to my life.
They have lifted me up, made me laugh, sympathised with me and shown love and kindness beyond compare.
The validity of our friendship is as real and as meaningful as those friendships I have in person.
We're lucky enough in this world of social media to choose friends, not just by our coinciding locations or by luck, but by pinpointing perfect friends with amazingly similar interests, senses of humour, and passionate feelings about the same things.
Friendship is a blessing. It enriches life.
It can find you when you least expect it,
in the mostly unlikely of places or circumstances.
It is there, waiting to be discovered.
And when you do find it, you're lucky.
It is there, waiting to be discovered.
And when you do find it, you're lucky.
"Each friend represents a world in us,
a world possibly not born until they arrive,
and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
~ Anais Nin
Thank you, Kerry! Isn't this so true? I have made so many great friends through blogging, true friends. I am grateful for this blogging community and those who have reached out to me and others. I know most of you, or even all of you, would say that online friendship can be just as real as friendship in person.

Awww Kerry I just ADORE you!! I am so lucky to have you as a "friend." Really so glad we found each other and I WILL visit you in Australia someday!
